This is an amazing antique iron Art Deco slip shade chandelier, dating to the 1930s, retaining its original finish. The six-light chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with ziggurats, coming down in a chain to an elongated, three dimensional iron piece with an Art Deco geometric design. The honey-colored shades of the chandelier feature a shell-like ribbing, crossed by two darker bands, and finish in a scalloped edge. The sixth light of the chandelier shines from a round shade at the bottom of the chandelier, which is finished in a stepped finial. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with a minor chip on the rims of two of the slipper shades (pictured) and several small fleabites on the rims of the other shades, which are not visible unless the shades are removed from the chandelier. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctional antique turn switch for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace it with a new one if desired. This chandelier is 19” at its widest; the length of the chandelier only is 16”; the overall length is 35”.
