Details
This is a fabulous pair of antique cast iron double-arm figural sconces, dating from the 1920’s and signed Polk Co, No. 9100. Resplendent in their original bronze finish, each sconce is crowned with an anthemion flanked by two imposing birds of prey. Acanthus leaves adorn the center of the backplate, surrounding a floral button. The arms, ornamented with bellflowers, extend from the lower portion of the sconce, each supporting a gadrooned bobeche with subtle floral detail. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 11 ¼” tall, 8” wide, and project 3” from the wall. The same sconces in a different finish are also available, item # NSP512-RW.
