This is a wonderful pair of antique Spanish Revival cast iron double-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s and retaining their original polychrome finish. Made and signed by Markel Electric Products, these figural sconces depict a knight in armor, with a shield below on a hammered background. The sconce arms extend to either side, featuring crenelated bobeches encircled with rope detail, each with a volute spike finial below. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 11 ½” tall, 8 ¼” wide, and project 3” from the wall. A similar pair of sconces is available under item # NSP188-RW.
