Details

A wonderful pair of antique Neoclassical double-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s. Made and signed by Radiant, each sconce is crowned with an urn hung with garlands, atop an oval back plate. The backplate features a floret button in the center. At the base of the back plate, volutes connect the back plate to the double arm, which curves outward in a U shape. The center is ornamented with a diamond motif, flanked by florets and foliate detail. Each arm ends in a foliate diamond, atop which sits a cutout foliate bobeche. The bottom of each arm is embellished with a finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 9 ½” wide, 12 ¼” tall, and extend 4” from the wall.
