This is a superb antique six-tier chandelier with a wreath design, dating from the early 1900’s, in its original silver plate. This four-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with a leaf-ornamented volute loop finial, with a cascade of faceted prisms coming down to a band ornamented with intricate acanthus detail. Wreaths accent the acanthus-leaf band, supporting a swag of prisms that runs around the chandelier. Below, the chandelier continues in six tiers of glittering icicle prisms, and is finished in a sparkling, faceted crystal ball. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 16” wide and 30” long; the fixture is 45 ½” long overall.
