Emblematic Hardware

Beginning in the late 19th Century and continuing into the 1920’s, certain companies and organizations commissioned custom hardware with their logo or initials. Emblematic hardware was used by many different organizations, from hotels to railroads to the New York City Board of Education. Today, this emblematic hardware makes an unusual addition to hardware collections, or is a fabulous conversation piece when installed in a home.
