Description
An elegant “New Old Stock” antique salesman sample of a door hardware in Corbin’s “St. Johns” pattern, dating from the early 1900’s.
Salesman samples were often made by manufacturers to show potential buyers the design, functionality, and quality of their products. The sample is mounted on a wooden backing, typical of salesmen’s presentation boards. The wood is dark and polished, providing a rich contrast to the finish of the hardware. The mounting board serves to showcase the item, making it easy to see how the hardware would look when installed.
The sample is in excellent antique condition with a beautiful aged finish; it measures 3-1/2″ wide, 12″ tall, and projects 3″.
