A fabulous antique cast iron doorknob with a figural design of a woman, dating from the late 19th century. This “Lady” knob is believed to depict the silhouette of Clara Barton; a Civil War nurse who founded the Red Cross. This doorknob has a beautifully aged patina and is in very good condition; it is permanently affixed to its spindle. The knob measures 2-3/16″ in diameter and 2″ deep.
