Description

An extraordinary pair of antique pocket door locks, made and signed by Branford Lock Works in their “Oriental” pattern. Dating from 1886, each cast bronze mortise lock is ornamented with an asymmetrical Asian-inspired pattern with stylized leaves and geometric detail. This pocket door mortise pair is in excellent antique condition with a beautiful patina, and the locks’ push-button system with a pop-out handle is in good working condition. Each lock has a 1″ wide by 7-5/8″ tall faceplate; each lock body measures 3-1/4″ wide by 5-1/4″ tall with a 2-1/8″ backset.
