Antique cast iron doorknob sets with plates, made by Reading Hardware in the “Belfort” pattern. Circa 1900, this gorgeous Art Nouveau door hardware features an asymmetrical, beautifully cast design of leaves, scrolls, and abstract Art Nouveau or Rococo detail with cutouts in the plates. The plates are signed “R.H.C.” with the pattern name. Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates measure 8 ¼” by 2 1/8”. Each set includes a pair of plates and a pair of knobs with the connecting spindle and set screws (enough hardware for one door). THE PRICE LISTED IS FOR EACH SET.
