A stately complete working thumb-latch set for an exterior door, dating from the 1920’s and signed Chicago. The handle features a stylized hammered design with a matching decorative escutcheon for the lock cylinder. The inside of the set features a doorknob escutcheon with a thumb-turn and a hammered octagonal knob. The door hardware set comes with its split-system lock including the handle with thumb latch, doorknob, two-part spindle, thumb turn and rosette. The handle measures 11-1/4” by 2-5/8” with a 2-1/4” projection, the doorknob rosette is 2-1/8” in diameter, and the doorknob is 2” in diameter and 2-1/8” deep. The lock faceplate measures 7” by 1”, its body measures 5″ tall, 3-5/8″ deep and has a 2-7/8″ backset.
