Beautiful cast bronze thumb turns dating from the late 1920’s. The thumb turns were made by Russell and Erwin specifically for the Waldorf Astoria Hotel located on Park Avenue in New York City. They feature an unusual, foliate detailed, hexagonal backplate, and an understated oval turn. Each thumb turn measures 2″ tall, 1-1/8” wide, and projects 1-1/8”; the spindle is 3/16” square.
