A lovely antique door knocker found in a home in Boston, MA, and dating from the 1920’s. The door knocker features a finely cast mythological heraldic dolphin. The dolphin’s ability to uplift has made it a favorite in design throughout the centuries and symbolizes love, friendliness, joviality, and freedom. The door knocker measures 2-1/4” wide, 8” tall, and projects 3-1/8”; the striker measures 1-1/2″ in diameter.
