Wonderful antique Federal mantel, dating from the 19th century and salvaged from a home in Franklin, KY.  The mantel’s top edge is beveled, and the face features a central oval raised panel with narrow ribbing, flanked on opposite ends by smaller ribbed panels . The mantel’s legs are ribbed in the same pattern, giving each the appearance of a square column. The mantel is in very good condition and measures 90-3/4″ wide, 61″ tall and 8-5/8″ deep; the firebox opening measures approximately 61-5/8″ wide and 39-1/4″ tall.
