Amazing antique cast iron fireplace, dating from the late 1800’s and salvaged from a home in Tennessee. This mantel is crowned with a detachable slate shelf that sits above a tapered central cartouche and features beveled detailing; two substantial and squared off legs frame the stepped firebox opening. The simplicity of this mantel would allow it to blend with a large variety of decorating styles. It is in good antique condition, and the slate top has slight stains and scratches as pictured. The mantel measures 58-1/4” wide, 44-1/4” tall, and has a 13” projection; the firebox opening is 18” wide and 25-3/4” tall.
