Description

This is an exceptional antique cast iron fireplace cover, dating from the late 19th Century and ornamented with musical instruments. The center of the summer cover depicts a lyre, a recorder, and panpipes, interspersed with leaves and ribbons and surrounded by a graceful volute border. This summer cover is in very good antique condition with a nice patina. It measures 26 ¼” tall and 20” wide.
