This is a delightful antique five-light chandelier, circa 1920’s, in its original polychrome finish. The chandelier begins with a gorgeous hexagonal canopy ornamented with a bead pattern, scrolling vines, and florets. It comes down in a chain to an intricately cast volute loop finial. Below, foliate volutes accented with striking polychrome medallions come down to form the chandelier body. Each medallion is formed of a warm cream-colored patera ornamented with a vine detail and a green cluster of leaves, flanked by blue accents. Each medallion is connected to the next by a double swag of delicate, beaded chain. The smooth ivory chandelier arms curve outward from the base of the chandelier, each supporting a cutout foliate bobeche with green and gold highlights. The chandelier finishes in acanthus leaves, with a smooth crystal ball dangling at the bottom. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 18 ¾” wide and 23 ¾” tall, and the fixture is 40” long overall.
