Description

This is an early electric Neoclassical four-light chandelier with shades, made of brass and dating from the 19th Century. This antique chandelier features an understated canopy and comes down in a pole to a brass orb encircled with a bead pattern. Below, the chandelier body features a beaded border followed by an egg-and-dart pattern. Chandelier arms, ornamented with delicate foliate detail, extend from the chandelier to support squared shades. The chandelier ends in a finely detailed finial. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with some minor dents to the brass orb (pictured); it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 23 ¼” wide and 14 ½” tall, and the fixture is 37” long overall.
