Description

This is a fabulous pair of antique Neoclassical double-arm sconces, dating from the 1920’s. These sconces are crowned with a polychrome draped urn. The back plate, which features a center floret button surrounded by a torsade border, is flanked with foliate detail and draped with swags. The U-shaped double arm is attached to the base of the back plate, and is accented with a floret at each end. At the end of each arm rests a double-layer foliate bobeche with a foliate finial. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces measure 12 ½” tall, 9 ½” wide, and protrude 3 ½” from the wall.
