This is a wonderful pair of antique Art Deco single-arm cast iron sconces with their original bronze wash and opalescent sit-in shades, c. 1930’s. Each sconce features a round backplate with a convex, gadrooned center surrounded by a beaded border. A splendid Art Deco finial extends from the top of the back plate. The sconce arm projects from a winged extension at the bottom of the backplate, and features a sleek shade holder with a switch at the bottom. The sconces have their original, gorgeous gadrooned “pudding bowl” shades, made of opalescent glass. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with working switches, and the shades are also in excellent condition with just the expected fleabites around the rims; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces measure 9 5/8” tall, 5 1/8” wide, and protrude 6 ½” from the wall.
