Description
A marvelous pair of antique Adam style double-arm sconces, dating from the early 1900s. The cast bronze sconces feature a shield-shaped backplate, crowned with a flower-filled urn and bordered in volutes and bell flower detail. Two reeded arms extend from a leafy cluster at the center of the backplate to support simple wax pans. These wall lamps are in very good antique condition with a beautifully aged and darkened finish; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 10” tall, 9-1/2” wide, and project 5-3/8” from the wall.
