This is a beautiful antique Adam style four-tiered wedding cake chandelier, dating from the early 1900’s, and found in a home in Lexington, KY. This two-light “wedding cake” chandelier begins with an elegant canopy that comes down in chain to a volute-embellished loop finial perched above a beautifully detailed urn. The urn rests upon a band featuring an intricate Neoclassical motif of stylized leaves. Suspended below are four tiers of sparkling icicle prisms, finished in a faceted glass ball. This light fixture is in very good condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 15-3/4″ wide and 28-1/2” tall; the fixture is 43” long overall.
