Description
This is a wonderful antique Art Deco five-light brass and nickel chandelier, dating from the 1930’s, with its original sit-in or “pudding-bowl” shades. The chandelier begins with a nickel canopy featuring a ruffled edge. Below, a sleek brass loop finial rests on a gadrooned nickel platform atop a reeded nickel column. Five brass arms arch from the center of the chandelier, each ending in a bright nickel shade holder with a brass finial. Each shade holder supports a delightful “custard” shade. The chandelier finishes in a reeded nickel platform with a cast brass finial. These light fixtures are in excellent condition, and the shades are in good antique condition with the expected fleabites around the rims. One shade has a small chip (pictured) which is barely noticeable and does not detract from the beauty of the chandelier. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The light fixture measures 19” wide, 16 ½” tall (body only), and 32” long overall.
