Description

This is a hard-to-find set of antique cast iron doorknob set with plates, made by Reading Hardware in the “Belfort” pattern. Circa 1900, this gorgeous Art Nouveau door hardware set features an asymmetrical, beautifully cast design of leaves, scrolls, and abstract Art Nouveau detail with cutouts in the plates. The plates are signed “R.H.C.” with the pattern name. This set is in excellent condition. Each doorknob is 2 ¼” in diameter and 2” deep; the backplates measure 8 ¼” by 2 1/8”. This hardware is suitable for use with our latch set (item # NML1-RW) or one of our antique mortise locks.
