Description
This is a superb antique cast iron fireplace cover. Dating from the late 1800’s, it features a triad of fleurs-de-lis in the center, surrounded by a beaded oval border. The oval is accented with ribbons at top and bottom, with a wreath surrounding it. The top of the summer cover is draped with garlands and ribbons. The beaded border is repeated around the perimeter of the summer cover. This summer cover is in very good antique condition with some rust. It measures 26 ½” tall and 20” wide.
