This is a remarkable antique oak figural door with its original American jeweled leaded glass and a carved angel, dating from the early 1900’s. The door features a magnificent panel of leaded glass, with a beveled oval in the center surrounded by clear faceted jewels. Ribbed glass radiates from the center, forming a large sunburst surrounded by faceted jewels. Above and below are palmettes surrounded by volutes studded with jewels. Below the glass is a beveled, curved shelf with bead detail, below which is a beautifully carved, three-dimensional angel face with wings on either side. A simple letter slot beneath the angel adds the finishing touch to the door. The door is in very good antique condition with a gorgeous stained finish, and the glass is in very good antique condition with three hairlines (pictured) that are barely noticeable. The door measures 35 5/8” wide, 84” tall, and 1 ¾” thick.
