Description

This is a beautiful antique “wedding cake” tiered chandelier in its original silver plate with icicle prisms. Circa 1910, this three-light chandelier begins with a foliate canopy, coming down in a chain to a volute loop finial followed by a band of foliate detail. The sleek top of the chandelier body joins a band with a scalloped border and bead-and-reel pattern, with interlinked volutes forming a lovely cutout design. Below, the chandelier has five tiers of sparkling crystal icicle prisms and is finished at the bottom in a large, faceted crystal ball. The light fixture and its prisms are in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 14” in diameter and 27” long, and the fixture is 45” long overall.
