Description
This is a stunning antique lantern dating from the 1880’s, originally gas and now wired for electricity. The chandelier begins with a decorative canopy, coming down in a rod to the lantern body below. Scrolling bands converge to support a beautiful iridescent hobnail glass shade, and finishes with its original non-functioning gas key. This light fixture is in excellent condition; the glass in good antique condition with the typical fleabites around the edges. The chandelier has been professionally wired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The body measures 13-1/2” wide by 37-1/4” long overall.
