Description
A remarkable antique five-light Neoclassical chandelier with prisms, dating from 1920, in its original silver plate. The chandelier begins with a gorgeous canopy, coming down in chain to an urn-shaped body adorned with decorative brass appliqués. Five foliate-embellished chandelier arms curl from the bottom of the chandelier to support leafy downward facing bobeches, each hung with a curtain of sparkling “icicle” prisms. The chandelier finishes with a dangling smooth glass ball finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with a gorgeous aged finish; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 21” wide and 32-1/2” tall, and the fixture is 43” long overall.
