Amazing antique pendant light with a sun purple glass shade, stamped with a patent dating Jan. 16, 1912. Found in a home in Charleston, SC, this fixture begins with an understated brass canopy descending in chord to meet a sleek brass fitter; the fitter supports a remarkable molded glass shade with a lavender hue due to sun exposure (sometimes called “sun purple” glass). This light fixture is in excellent condition; the shade is also in very good condition with the expected fleabites around the rim. The chandelier has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. It measures 5″ wide, 9-1/4″ tall, and 36-1/4″ overall. Coordinating lights can be found under product code NC3473-RW.
