Description
A magnificent antique Tudor six-light chandelier, dating from the early 1900’s and salvaged out of Alexandria, VA. This darkened nickel over bronze fixture begins with an understated canopy that comes down in chain to a small platform. Below, a cluster of cast bands descend to form the open body and to affix to a lower ring; the bands are ornamented with crests and beaded details. An outer band with coordinating fretwork features stylized fleur de lis. Six chandelier arms extend up and out from the body, each one supporting a foliate bobeche. The bottom of the chandelier tapers down in decorative detail and finishes with a tassel finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 21″ wide and 28″ tall, and the fixture is 47″ long overall.
