A striking antique six-light Tudor chandelier by Max Schaffer Co., dating from the 1920’s and featuring its original polychrome finish. This chandelier begins with a decorative canopy that comes down in chain to a loop finial composed of stylized fleur de lis. A cluster of six bands with foliate and volute cut outs descend below to form the chandelier’s open body. Below, six arms extend from the perimeter of the fixture to support wax pans finished with small trefoils and diamond shapes around the perimeter. The chandelier finishes in a complementary dangling finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition with its original polychrome finish; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 22-1/2” wide, 28-1/2” tall, and the fixture is 43-1/2” long overall.
