This is a charming antique transitional single-light lantern, dating from the early 1900’s. The lantern features a simple brass canopy, coming down in a chain to the understated iron pendant, which is composed of a round roof and a body of vertical glass panels and bordered at the base by an iron band. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is also in excellent condition, with no cracks or breaks. The light fixture is 6” wide, 8” tall to the finial, and 23” long overall. The fixture would be suitable for either indoor or outdoor use.
