This rare and enchanting silver plated double-arm sconce features the original, gorgeous “icicle” prisms and dates to 1910. Beginning with a stunning bronze acanthus leaf top finial, which meets the back plate where the silver plate begins, this sconces is fascinating. The back plate showcases a fantastic hand beveled mirror, which is decorated in the center with handmade, wheel-cut foliates. Surrounding the mirror is a beautifully cast honeysuckle border, which stands to highlight the center wheel-cut glass design. Just below the bottom point of the mirror are two octagonal, S-curved, twisted arms springing from behind a silver plated anthemion. These arms lead to two-tone bobeches of bronze and silver, from which dangle lustrous prisms. This wall lamp is in excellent condition, has been professionally rewired, and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconce is 14 ½” tall, 8 ½” wide, and protrudes 5” from the wall.
