This is a wonderful antique brass five-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, with its original drum shade. The chandelier begins with a canopy ornamented with crossed volutes and florets. The chandelier body is crowned with a loop finial formed of acanthus and volutes. Below, a painted drum-shaped shade encircles the lights. The shade is ornamented with a design of stylized flowers and fruit, with ferns winding through the design. Ornamented bands run down through the shade, extending out the bottom to support foliate bobeches. This light fixture is in excellent condition, and the shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 14” wide and 18” tall, and the fixture is 36” long overall.
