Description
This is a delightful antique five-light polychrome chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, in its original finish with blue and red accents. The chandelier begins with an intricate canopy adorned with an egg-and-dart pattern with acanthus leaves followed by a leaf-and-dart pattern. Below, an eye-catching volute finial with clusters of berries supports the chandelier body. The arms extend from a medallion in the center of the chandelier. Each arm supports a bobeche ornamented with red leaves and volute detail; each bobeche is connected to the next by a volute design. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 15 3/8” wide and 11 ¾” tall, and the fixture is 28 ¾” long overall.
