Description
This is a wonderful antique bronze three-light chandelier in its original polychrome finish, dating from the 1920’s. The chandelier begins with a canopy swathed in acanthus leaves and ornamented with a forest green polychrome loop finial. The chandelier body is supported by a rectangular chain, which connects to green polychrome loop. Below the finial, curled bronze bands with green foliate appliqués come down to form the chandelier body. A trio of lavender-colored, three-dimensional flowers rises from a cluster of leaves. The leaves curl outward, following the chandelier arms. Each arm curls up, supporting a bold foliate wax pan and a simple candle cup with red accents. The chandelier finishes in a cluster of bronze leaves. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 16” wide and 14 ½” tall, and the fixture is 36 ½” long overall.
