This is a remarkable antique Neoclassical table lamp, circa 1900, with its very rare, original acid-etched shade. The lamp begins with an intricate footed base adorned with volute and foliate detail. The lamp arm extends up from the base, curving forward slightly to accept an understated shade holder with its original marvelous shade. The shade, formed in a gorgeous pleated style, features a beautifully etched floral and foliate design. It flares out from the shade holder, casting its amazing floral design onto the surrounding area. This lamp is in excellent condition and has been professionally rewired, and the shade is also in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rim. The lamp measures 10 ½” tall and 11” wide overall. The shade has a maximum diameter of 6”, and the base is 4 ½” square.
