This is a charming pair of antique cast iron Arts & Crafts exterior lantern sconces, c. 1910, with original amber slag glass. Each sconce features a round back plate with a beaded border. The back plate extends outward into a substantial arm that attaches to the back of the lantern. An S-curved band comes from the top of the back plate to the top of the lantern, curling back at the end. Each side of the lantern is ornamented with a cast floret at each bottom corner. A curved, V-shaped piece adorns the top of each panel in front of the slag glass, fastened to each side with a floret. These wall lamps are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks to the glass. The sconces have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. Each measures 9 ½” tall, 5” wide, and protrudes 9” from the wall. A matching pendant light with a darker finish is available under item # ¬NC266-RW.
