Description
These surprisingly appealing sconces date to the 1920’s, are constructed of aged brass and display lovely modest details. The sconces have shield-shaped back plates topped with acorn finials. Bellow the back plates, curving upward to accept the urn-shaped shade holders, are simple smooth U-curved arms. Sited in the shade holders, like glimmering jewels, are the original and very unusual ribbed glass shades. The sconces retain the original pull chain sockets and can be switched on and off either from a wall switch or from the individual pull chains. These wall lamps are in excellent condition. There are no breaks or cracks to the glass shades. They have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. These are 10 ¾” long, 3 ¾” wide and protrude 5” from the wall.
