Description
This is a wonderful antique cast iron five-light Tudor chandelier with a fleur-de-lis design and a great patina. Dating from the 1920’s, the chandelier begins with a foliate loop finial, coming down into five intricately cast pieces ornamented with shields, volutes, and fleurs-de-lis; they support a double ring connected by volutes and foliate detail, accented with fleur-de-lis finials. The five bracket-shaped arms, featuring a faux-hammered surface and shield ornamentation, extend from the ring, supporting superbly cast bobeches. The bottom of the chandelier, encircled by a fleur-de-lis pattern, ends in a final. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier measures 20” wide, 18 ¼” tall (body only), and 32 ½” long overall.
