Description

This is an extraordinary antique door, circa 1900, with amazing jeweled American stained glass. The glass is surrounded by a double-grooved border accented at the corners with roundels; a matching border frames two panels on the lower half of the door. The stained glass features an abstract pattern accented with a dozen clear, faceted jewels interspersed with brilliant blue ripple glass and a pattern of amethyst and gold ripple glass on a glue-chip background. The window is bordered in blue ripple glass. The door is in good antique condition (see photos), and the glass is in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks. The door measures 31 ¾” wide, 79” tall, and 1 3/8” thick; the glass is 23” wide and 39 ¼” tall.
