Description
This is a wonderful antique brass two-light chandelier, originally gas and now wired for electricity. Marked with a 1900 patent date, this fixture begins with a loop finial, below which is a large brass orb with a round floral cap. Below, the chandelier comes down in a pole to a finial accented with a trefoil. Extending from either side of the finial are two smooth arms, each of which supports a simple shade holder and a sleek, squared shade with the gas key below. This light fixture is in very good antique condition with a pair of minor dents on the brass orb (pictured). The shades are in excellent condition with no cracks or breaks, just the expected fleabites around the rims. The chandelier has been professionally wired for electricity and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 28 ¾” wide, 5 3/8” deep, and 32” tall to the finial, and the fixture is 40” long overall.
