Description
This amazing five-light, brass chandelier has an open-frame style body, which displays coronet style shields, blue and white florets, and hammered details. The antique chain meets the body of this piece at an ornate loop finial adorned with cast acanthus leaves and helixes. Riveted to the underside of the body are five hammered, curved and bent arms. Each arm supports a unique arrangement of a hammered candle-cup with a trefoil-edged, polychrome embellished wax-pan, which slides over the unusual metal candle-covers, to crown the candle-cups. This remarkable piece would well suit any Spanish Revival, Old World or Tudor décor, but is definitely transitional enough to be a stand out addition in a contemporary home as well. This light fixture is in excellent condition. It has been professionally rewired, and it comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. This chandelier is 20” at its widest; the length of the chandelier only is 15”; the total length is 30”.
