This is a stunning antique Neoclassical five-light chandelier with crystals, in its original silver plate over brass. Circa 1910, this silver plated chandelier begins with a fantastic foliate finial with blooms on either side, coming down into a sleek, urn-shaped body. Encircling the body is a ribbed band studded with lovely glass florets. Rising from the chandelier body are five slender, curled rods, each ending in a dangling crystal. Five smooth, S-curved chandelier arms come out from the chandelier body, each supporting a beautifully cast leaf-and-dart bobeche hung with a crystal spear. The chandelier finishes in a foliate finial with a graceful prism emerging from it. This light fixture is in excellent condition with beautifully worn silver plate; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body is 21” wide and 17” tall; the overall length of the chandelier is 34”.
