This is a wonderful pair of antique Neoclassical single-arm sconces, c. 1915, in their original silver plate over pewter. Each silver plated backplate is crowned with a gadrooned urn, with a bellflower garland extending down the backplate towards the center button. The center of the backplate features a sleek gadrooned border and a smooth center, with vine detail running down the outside border. A substantial foliate arm extends from the bottom of the backplate, supporting a gadrooned bobeche with leaf detail and a rope edge. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The sconces are 9” tall, 4 ½” wide, and project 4 ½” from the wall. Coordinating sconces are also available, listed under item # NSP436-RW.
