This is a beautiful pair of antique single-arm sconces, silver plated with nickel and bronze, circa 1910. The sconce features a round nickel backplate with a bold, flower-shaped bronze medallion in the center. The top and bottom of the back plate are both accented with silver plated acanthus leaves. The top acanthus cluster supports a silver rod that curls downward to a dangling prism. Extending from the lower acanthus cluster is the U-shaped, silver plated arm, hung with a French crystal pendalogue. The sconce features a glass wax pan with a silver plate candle cup. These wall lamps are in excellent condition; they have been professionally rewired and come with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. We kept the original nonfunctioning turn switches for nostalgia’s sake; however, we will gladly replace them with new ones if desired. The sconces are 14 ½” tall, 4 ½” wide, and project 6” from the wall.
