Description

This is a marvelous antique five-light cast iron figural chandelier, dating from the 1920’s, with a rearing lion design. The chandelier begins with an iron loop finial composed of overlapping arches, below which the chandelier comes out into five intricately cast sections, each depicting a crowned crest flanked by rearing lions, surrounded by hammered volute detail. Each chandelier arm supports a gadrooned bobeche with a crest. The chandelier finishes with shields and foliate detail, with a dangling finial. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17” wide and 22” tall, and the fixture is 41” long overall.
