This is a striking antique Tudor five-light chandelier in iron and brass, dating from the 1920’s and retaining its original polychrome finish. The chandelier begins with a cast iron loop finial ornamented with leaves and volutes; below, five curled iron bands come down to form the chandelier body. The bands are joined by intricate brass crests with red and blue accents, surrounded by hammered volutes and foliate detail. The chandelier arms support hammered brass bobeches with a crenelated border. A volute loop finial with bead detail finishes the chandelier. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 17” wide and 23” tall, and the fixture is 38” long overall.
