Description
This is a superb antique twelve-light chandelier, dating from the 1920’s and retaining its original darkened nickel finish over brass. The chandelier features a canopy with a torsade border and a hammered leaf appliqué; below, the chandelier comes down in a chain to a semicircular loop finial atop a hammered cone encircled with twisted bands. Four twisted rods, each ending in a hook, support the ring-shaped chandelier body. The body features a fantastic hammered texture and is faux-riveted. Twelve bobeches are fastened around the chandelier via hand-forged arms, and feature a waved edge. This light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The chandelier body measures 30 ½” wide and 19 ½” tall, and the fixture is 41” long overall.
